Chelsea remain interested in Brighton & Hove Albion’s Ireland striker Evan Ferguson, who is understood to be keen on a move away from the club soon.

Team Talk reports that Chelsea have long shown interest in Ferguson and that interest has not diminished, although the club still believes in Nicolas Jackson in the 2024-25 season, but strengthening the center forward position is something the club needs to do in the future.

Previously, Brighton made it clear that Ferguson’s value had reached £100m, but the situation has now changed after his impressive form in the 2022-23 season, where he scored 10 goals in 25 games in all competitions, but this season he has not had many opportunities and has only scored one goal in 8 games in all competitions.

Chelsea, managed by Enzo Maresca, are still looking for a new number 9 and are keeping an eye on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who is believe to have a release clause of around €80m next summer, but have not rule out other options. In addition to Ferguson, there is also Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.

Nicolas Jackson has shown improvement this season, but Chelsea still need more depth in the attack. Everton Ferguson is well settle in the Premier League, and he could make an instant impact and share the goalscoring burden with the former La Liga striker.

Jackson’s performance in the 2024-25 season has been quite satisfactory, scoring 7 goals in the Premier League, level with Cole Palmer. While the leading Promotion ufabet scorer is Christopher Nkunku, who has scored 10 goals in all competitions. Especially in the UEFA Conference League, where he has scored 6 goals.
